Teddy Bears on Parade

Coryn loves his Teddy bears, every day he kisses and hugs them. Not that I'm jealous, but they get more kisses than I do. Thats ok... he can keep his open mouth slobbers. The big fluffy one he got from Grandie for his birthday and the one in the sweater is the original love... a gift to me from my Grandma and he sat on the shelf in Coryn's first room.
Kisses!!

Yes, there is plenty for my original teddy love as well.

Oklahoma City

At last, photos are available to show our trip to Oklahoma City in September. The flights went as well as they could have with a nearly toddler, but we were happy to be on the ground again. Of all the things to see and do in Oklahoma City we chose one historical and one fun place to visit.
Our historical option was to visit the Oklahoma City Memorial which is really quite a sight to see and so creatively and meaningfully put together. This picture shows the chairs... one for each person killed in the bombing and set in nine rows depending on which floor they were on. This is just one of the many details set into the wonderful monument.

Coryn was happy to see his dad, and took to latching onto him before to long. Here we are at the zoo where Coryn 'growled' at nearly every animal there. His favorite was probably a bird exhibit which allowed visitors to feed a large group of loud tropical birds while they fly around and alight on shoulders.
As ever, happy bath time!

Fun Times

Trick or Treating was a lot of work, but rewarding... especially at Great Grandma's where they had my favorites!

Here we are at birthday dinner for Grandpa.

A little help please?

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Ok, I know its a couple days early, but I didn't want to miss it. News update... Coryn now has eight teeth and I'm pretty sure he prefers grown up food to baby food (who wouldn't, plus he gets to play with it). Friday Coryn took his first steps and those of you who have myspace can see a little video of him. He still prefers crawling but I'm sure that won't be for too much longer. He says some words that he means to say now. He says duckie and dog and likes to growl when you point to animals (all animals) and I think he means me when he says mom now...

Jackson is still in Virginia, but he'll be able to come home for Christmas weather permitting. He seems to be doing well in his officer course too.

All is well on the home front, keeping busy with birthdays lately, we have a lot in the fall. We are also preparing for Coryn's first birthday, between shots and icecream it will be a busy day and if he had any sense of anticipation he would be excited about the impending move to a larger front facing car seat!

Faces and Teeth

We haven't been able to get an internet hookup yet for posting about our recent trip to Oklahoma to visit Jackson, but in the meantime, here are some funny faces.

I don't see you!

You can't hear me but I'm growling.

See my teeth? I'm not mad, just breathing through my nose hard.

How you doin'?

Here and There

My first wedding and all I can think about is how to get snacks out of the container

Still cute while sleeping...
Grandma's birthday party, Great Grandpa is holding me hostage while Great Grandma tickles mercilessly.

Grandpa takes me where ever I point to!

I have 5 or 6 teeth now, mom can't tell because I won't open my mouth long enough for her. No malicious biting yet, and hopefully we'll get a picture before too long. I eat just about everything now, no honey, cow milk, gummies, or raw veggies for the most part yet. I did get to chew on a carrot the other day, but I dropped it on the floor.
I'm learning words all the time, and though I can't say too much yet I do try... My favorites right now are to growl when mom shows me a lion, and say da for dog; oh, and whenever mom says mama I say dada.
