Odds and Ends April 2013

 The kids like to bowl.

 Coryn finished up his wolf, and participated in a flag ceremony.

 Jovey looks like she's eating dirt, but she's not.  I promise.

Coryn gave a farmers market performance.  Good stuff.

March 2013 Blue and Gold and Pinewood Derby

 Each Blue and Gold here they have a table with strips of paper and tape galore so that the kids can keep busy making paper chains.  They always get to display the giant chain they made at the start of the ceremonies.  This year they had fancy mustache straws too.

 Pinewood derby!  Fun times, there were three boxes full like this one, all fun and unique designs.  Coryn got 7th place overall, pretty awesome for his first car!  He designed and I shaped, then we threw on a heavy coin to make it weigh as much as possible.  The crew here has a fancy electronics-supported racetrack.

Cub scout trip to the local tv studio.

Cub scouts got to do a lot in Nov, a visit to the police station including a one on one with McGruff,





getting to see a detainment chair,




a space derby







Coryn went with metallic green, got third on one of his races, not bad considering it was his first attempt at any kind of derby.



and of course, a Christmas party, here they are decorating gingerbread houses.

Firefighters

Boy scouts did a presentation to the base firefighters for 9/11,











got to see some awesome gear,

My parents visit

We bummed around most of the rest of my parents' visit... watched some construction out the front window...

put together a cub scout....
sold some popcorn...
