End of May

Went to a birthday party, and the kids were happiest with the balloon and a plastic disc shooter...

it was a windy day and the loss of the balloon was staggering.

Went to the aquarium the Saturday after our anniversary, it was a great day, got there about 10 minutes after it opened so it wasn't busy yet. This was pretty much the only time Carter was in the stroller while we were there.

Nonchalance, check...

giggly wariness, check...

Certer entertains himself during ballet by watching the fish...

Or chasing the other children around, or playing with the vending machines.
They took all the plants out most likely to clean the tank.

The kids like being musical too. They each have their own eisa drum now.
And both like to play Rock Band :)

Ballet

Coryn has been taking ballet and is now in a room built for it, complete with one way mirror for parents, thus the poor quality of pictures. This is 'eleve' forgive my spelling, French is not my forte.

May FRG meeting

Mexican night at the FRG meeting... burritos, mariachi music, sombreros, and maracas.
The kids had fun dancing, playing the maracas, wearing the hats, and eating burritos... but their favorite thing was maraca wars!

They moved to the hall during the meeting, it was getting loud in there.
Yes, Carter fights too.

Its time to go.

It's Captain Irish, Actually.

Not only was I promoted but I have found a place on the FOB where the internet will actually let me post pictures so hopefully there will be more to follow spanning several events around life on FOB Gardez...

This is my last official moment as an "LT" which means I'm actually about to get my last name given back to me!
And there it is... that extra bar comes with a nice raise too! :P (That would be my boss, the PRT XO LTC Cullison "pinning" me)
Per tradition all the captains and above gave me a shot to the rank... this would be 6' 4" 235 lbs CPT Brett Evans giving me a shot with his right hand. He's a southpaw so if he'd used his left I'm pretty sure I would not have lived to tell the tale.
Finally, this is one of my mechanics, Air Force Staff Sergeant Sosa throwing up a salute.

Mid-May

Carter went bowling with us for the first time... I think he liked it.
Coryn's getting good at it... he can carry the ball to the lane by himself now!

and bowl it down the ramp himself....

and get his own strike! he got two strikes today,

Car type toys in the local mall, there was a touch screen in the dog one where the goal is to pet the dog as much as possible. You put 100 Yen in, get a barcoded card and swipe like a credit card to start the game. Cute.

Duty Station

Here is the latest Bracket I am doing (Oh, and for those who didn't see, Forrest Gump is apparently the greatest movie ever made, but my mom could have told us all that). This one is were Lisa and I should put in for our next duty station... enjoy.
