Life in the Beginning on Japan

One of the first things Jackson wanted to do was make sure he could get his precious Dr. Pepper in Japan... and not only do they sell it in the commissary (military grocery store) but also in many Japanese vending machines. In fact the can he's holding now has katakana under the Dr. Pepper name... you might be able to see it if you make the picture bigger.
Now for hotel life. Coryn is trying to look through the mirror on the door of the bathroom... everytime one of us went in he would think the mirror was a window. The hotel they put us in wasn't bad for the most part. We certainly didn't miss it when we left even if we had to start cleaning for ourselves again. They had everything we really needed... a bed, a kitchen, a TV, a dining area, sofa, and bathroom. Of course it was all really close like most hotels, and we spent a month in it! The fire alarm went off 3 times in 4 days, enough that the front desk left messages on our phones about turning kitchen and bathroom fans on when cooking and showering respectively.
Here Coryn is trying to emulate our post-cereal-eating-milk-drinking. He's cut most of his molars now and I think he's got one of his canines. His vocabulary is growing, he can say please, banana, apple, buggy, and tries really hard to say alphabet.

We also purchased two cars while we were awaiting housing decisions, here is mine... a Toyota Carib which I have named Craig. Its worked well for us thus far and we have a year warrantee. Jackson's car is a Toyota Exif I believe and if I'm not mistaken he's finally decided to name his car... Emily (he's been having a hard time with it, wanting to name it as a girl but only having a guys name to match it, so I just told him what to call it).
