Rolling Along
Coryn's latest rolling was in bed last night. I awoke to his grunting around 5am and I figured he was waking for a feeding. When I looked in the crib I found an awake Coryn on his back smiling and quite proud of the fact that he rolled over in bed. He even giggled when he saw me.

I'll be on the Air
By Jackson
For those of you out there who are interested, I will be appearing on the Ghostwood Development Project, a weekly radio program hosted by my good friend Nate Dredge of The Dredge Report. The show will air this Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm. You can hear it in Boise on AM 730 and you can stream the show at that time from the Boise State Student Radio web page for those of you outside the Boise area. I know that there are local affiliates in McCall, Twin Falls and a few other cities throughout southern Idaho, but unfortunately I don't call those dial numbers with me. A panel of four, including yours truly will be prognosticating the recipients of the major categories of the 78th annual Academy Awards which will air that night on ABC (local channel 6) beginning at 7 pm mountain time.
Though most of Hollywood has been extremely annoying for many years now and proof positive that the vast majority of the stars are so out of touch with mainstream America that it's not funny, I have been watching the Oscars for years, and my first job was at Suncoast: The Motion Picture Company. I worked there for three years and won the annual Oscar pool three years straight.
We hope to be able to do a show soon thereafter with our reaction to the Oscars, and I hope you will all tune in to hear the program Sunday night. For those of you who like to keep score at home, a nice printable Oscar ballot is available in PDF format.

You Make the Call
Last Thursday, Lisa and I went to see the movie Nanny McPhee, which was (surprisingly) an enjoyable movie. Before the film, they showed a trailer for the new animated feature Curious George and Lisa commented that George looks a lot like Coryn. You be the judge, look at all his pictures on this site and do the comparison. Be sure to tell us what you think!

Just a Quick FYI
Wednesday, February 15, 2006
Oh my! Something has just caught his attention... anyway, I tried to post this a couple days ago, but it didn't work, so here goes again.
Update! Coryn is really advancing: he not only randomly hits at his toys, but now grabs, pulls, and squeezes some of them. His favorite right now is a new toy that is a doggy with a rattle head, crinkle ears, and all four paws are chew toys with different textures. He hasn't really fallen in love with the paws yet, but he grabs the crinkle ears, trys to grab the nose and 'loses' the dog when he pulls it toward himself and can't see it anymore. He still loves the cow from Grandma Sheryl, and he also plays with a purple elephant from Aunt Valerie (also with crinkle ears).
We will be taking him to get real pictures taken soon. Apparently, I'll have to make sure I have enough to give one to my boss... she is baby crazy and has pictures of all her employee's children framed on the desk behind her. More pictures than she has of her own family!
He's started cooing the letter b a little, and he's learned to blow spit bubbles, though I don't think he means to. He also sort of blows lip raspberries, though mostly its because he's cooing while slobering. Yes, the slober factor is way up, spit spit everywhere!
He's much more ticklish now, and will laugh quite a bit when tickled. I'm working on getting a video of him laughing.
As for us, Jackson's schooling is going well, still planning on finishing in May with his double major (Anthropology and Spanish). No word yet on how things are going to go after that, should still find out in March.
Happy Valentine's everyone!
