Easter Egghunt

First thing in the morning, kids come down and ogle baskets, and discover a clue trail to their Easter surprise. Of course, having used up the rest of his reserves to read the clue, Coryn can't think enough to figure it out until after breakfast. The rest of the hunt lasted about 20 minutes, with a full dozen clues ranging up, down, in, and out. It was total fun for both. The Easter Bunny might have to do a repeat performance next year!

Bits

Loves her bath! (chubby chubby baby)

Went bowling the other day, and it went really well until the last frame when Carter decided to try picking his ball up by himself, it almost worked, and then he dropped it on his finger (not a far drop since he hadn't fully made it out of the ball area, and only a 6 lb ball). His nail is pretty now. He calls it his rainbow finger.

Coryn was theatrical with his pushes.

How you doin'?

what a pretty blanket for a pretty girl (thanks mom :) )

Spring in NY

Okay, I know its sideways, but how pretty is that?

We went on a little tour of maple syrup shantys in the area. Yes, shanty is the official term for them. The boys are standing in a giant tub used to purify maple syrup, they fill it with sap from their maple trees and one tubfull makes 15 gallons.

Each shanty produces slightly different flavors based on the soil and etc that affects the tree sap content, however, the process is basically the same regardless of how fancy the equipment is for boiling the sap.

Giggles from Jovey

Aunt Natty Visits

Aunt Natty came for a visit to help out before Jackson deployed again. The boys loved it!

And I'm sure Jovey did too.

The kids finally got to experience color dots too. I'm always afraid to use them since the bottle warns that it can stain porous surfaces.

They had a lot of playtime with Natty while I did some unpacking and searching for a few random things Jackson didn't have time to look for himself.

We miss you Natty!
