Where was Jovey?  Oh, Jovey loves "baaa" of all kinds, and loves to POINT them out  :D

Daddy Comes Home

Jackson came home in March... he's standing directly behind the guy the in middle of the front row... see him?  well... half of his face?  I didn't take the kids because the ceremony was at 3 or 4 in the morning and... well do you really need more of a reason?  So he had a friend spend the night.

The boys were totally overwhelmed by the surprise.  Coryn already had a surprise that morning by a visit from the tooth fairy (lost his first tooth at said friend's house the night before that) and we brought donuts for breakfast.  Both managed a dropped jaw before immediately running their mouths...  Coryn about the tooth and Carter saying "how did you make it in time?"

Jovey wasn't phased in the slightest...

It was a gorgeous day!  Perfect for baseball.

and a nap.  (or 3 :)  )

The MOST

No really, the Museum of Science and Technology (MOST)  :)

SCIENCE! *insert explosion*

Jefferson Community College holds a science fair each year.  Super Science Saturday.  Its pretty awesome!  Hands-on child-friendly exhibits in several buildings on campus.  Exhibits range from creating a vacuum (can crushing) to titration (make the pink disappear) to maggots (bug art) to building a circuit... and so much more!
Coryn has a love of science, likes to look at my college books, and tells me frequently he's going to be a potions scientist (chemistry).  He even started telling me he had a special science teacher at school and told me about all the things he is learning (untrue).  Carter had fun too, but not nearly as much as Coryn, though he was keen on the circuit building and got a 'build your own bubble blower' for Christmas.

Sledding

Its been a very warm winter for the North Country, but we did have a couple of opportunities to play in the snow. Not long after we got home from Boise there was a good snow storm that gave us enough to go sledding. This is the second year of sledding fun for the boys, and they do love it. They even haul their sleds up the hill without complaint for an hour and a half just to do it!

and yes, Jovey got in on it too, she got to go down half the hill a couple of times on this inflatable sled with back support, it was awesome. She only fell out once, and that was while I was pulling her towards the hill from the car. Didn't phase her.

First Snow

Snow has been slim to none this year (I mean, more than Boise gets but still...), late to come and early to leave. Last winter the first real snow was on Halloween, this winter it was just before Thanksgiving.
Jovey is liking something...

Here is Coryn's homage to Thanksgiving

Random Fall Photos

Lets see, Coryn got his Bobcat

Ooo, pretty colors! it was a weird fall, a week after I took this pic (maybe 40% foliage) everything was gone!

you know that ominous feeling when the sky darkens suddenly and you look up and see this?

The boys made me make things out of a spooky food book Grandma brought, spider cupcakes!

Pretty!!!

Halloween

BOO! yeah, I got creative with my pumpkins this year, I think it was a neighborhood favorite :D

let see, we booed at the zoo (with a trip to the Burville cider mill just before) and the 710th party (all in one day)

see, the zoo staff is funny! three little pigs houses set up around the wolf exhibit....

went to the church celebration (no trunk or treat this year, but the kids still have Halloween candy so its not like they were lacking....

plus the official trick or treating around the block. Yes, Coryn HAD to have a different costume every time each day we did something.
